The Announcements for September 3, 2010

 

Canyen Cauble (nominated by Ms. Denver for RESPECT & CITIZENSHIP) has displayed all of the character traits in the first week and half of school. He is always willing to help. Thanks, Canyen!
Attention Seniors: On September 8th during Graduation 101, you will be nominating 5 girls and 5 guys for Homecoming Court. You will have a very short amount of time to do this so please come to class with some nominations in mind. This will take place at the very beginning of Graduation 101 so don’t be tardy!
Ashley VonShaf needs to see MR. BOLIN as soon as possible.
All students who drive, this applies to you so listen up! There have been many car break-ins recently so always lock your car and be sure to take out any valuables, keys included.
Any student who had Art 2, 3, or 4 last year, please see Ms. Duke before the end of the day tomorrow if you are interested in entering work in an upcoming art show. Cash prizes will be awarded but you must see Ms. Duke before the week is over to be eligible to enter!!
Yearbooks will be on sale in Mrs. Hartline’s room today during 4th block only. The cost is $65. Today is THE last day a yearbook can be purchased.
Soddy Daisy Tie Dye t-shirts & tank tops made by Soddy art students are on sale at The Cottage Closet Consignment shop on Dayton Pike. The Cottage Closet is on the right hand side of the road before you get to Soddy Middle. The cost of the shirts is $12.00. All proceeds benefit our Art Department. There are a wide variety of styles and colors available. Stop by & check it out.
There is an ACT prep class offered on Friday, Oct 8th. The class will be held here from 8:30 am – 1:30 pm. The cost is $45. You can bring a check made out to SDHS or cash to Mrs. Adamz to sign up.
Any student who qualifies for free and reduced lunch, waivers are now available.
September 17th is the registration deadline for the October 23rd ACT. Please get on the ACT site and register early. All seniors should take the October ACT. Remember, this falls during fall break.
Want to win a Laptop? how about an ipod touch? well you can... The SDHS cricket texting challenge starts during lunch today... it's just a dollar to enter!
The football team plays tonight at Ooltewah at 7. If you see a football player, wish them luck, and come out and support your Trojans!
Volleyball players who are interested in going to the FCA leadership training, see Coach Thomas asap. Any athlete who wants to attend this training on Sept. 8th needs to see Ken Thomas soon- there are only 10 spots for the training. The cost is $5 for lunch and a great FCA t-shirt.
Bowling practice is today at 3:30 at Holiday Bowl in Hixson. The parents of all bowlers are asked to come to the first booster club meeting of the year and get important information about being part of the bowling team.
There is a girls' soccer game at Seigel soccer complex. Girls, bring both jerseys to the tournament this weekend! Leave at 4, and be there at 6.
